Charity fundraiser raised £13K for Bore Well Project
Retro Gameshow Charity Quiz Night
Over 100 people braved the rain on Thursday night two weeks ago to play retro gameshow favourites such as Play your Cards Right and Spin the Wheel, an evening of fun and laughter as well as tempting raffle prizes, and all for a very worthy cause.
This year’s chosen charity for our annual quiz night was Waste to Wonder Worldwide Bore Well project.
It was one of our biggest nights!! Due to the generosity, some of our amazing suppliers and partners we raised an incredible £13,000 which will directly make a life changing impact on 9,000 people. These funds will provide an additional six bore wells, each bore well provides safe drinking water for around 1,500 people so the social impact that the quiz will have is enormous.

In March 2023, Rafael Galvez, our group sales director joined Waste to Wonder (W2W) on their School in a Box recipient visit to the Gambia to see first hand the ESG impact that our partnership is having for people in need. Having witnessed the life changing impact that the four Solar Bore Wells that W2W had funded. He returned from the Gambia determined to raise money to extend the impact of the Bore Well project to support even more disadvantaged communities.
Our partnership with Waste to Wonder has spans over 15 years and we are immensely proud of our connection with to such a life changing project.
Last night was by far and away the most astonishing example of generosity and we are so thankful to our generous suppliers and partners for their pledges and donations.
